The Giant Mountains (Krkonose Mountains)
are the most well known mountains in the Czech republic -
mountain Snezka is the highest peak of the country. The
Giant Mountains are the most visited region in Czech in
the winter season. Wide offer of accommodation in the

Pec pod Sněžkou belongs today among the
biggest and the most famous ski resorts in Krkonoše.
There are only 600 permanent citizens, however, the
accommodation capacity is 8 500 beds. The tourism is the
most important trade and employs most of the citizens. The
highest Czech mountain Sněžka (1602 m = 5261 ft) is the
most sought after location in summer. To get there, you
can either ride with the chair lift or, if you are more
sporty, you can conquer the peak on foot.
